Register for the EDGE Experts training offered by thinkstep and learn the technical details of EDGE, a green building certification system which is an innovation of IFC, a member of the World Bank Group. EDGE empowers builders to quickly evaluate and compare estimated costs for design strategies targeting reductions in energy use, water use and embodied energy in materials. The training will help you to understand the EDGE standard, the EDGE App, and how to navigate the certification process. The training also prepares and qualifies you to take the EDGE Exam.
After passing the EDGE Exam and signing the EDGE Expert Participation Agreement, you will be accredited by IFC as an EDGE Expert, when you will receive a certificate and marketing materials to promote your new role. EDGE Experts are also invited to be a part of a global community convened by IFC, to exchange best practices and learn about technical updates to the EDGE App. To find out more, visit EDGE Experts or participate in a webinar by registering at EDGE Events.
EDGE Experts training is offered by Tom Saunders, the EDGE Global Lead for thinkstep. With 18 years of experience in sustainability, Tom has been recognized by industry peers at Ecobuild as one of Building’s Rising Stars.
EDGE reveals the systems and solutions that work best for your climate, bringing international cachet to your certified project without losing the local context. Participants will learn about the EDGE standard, the free online EDGE App, and how to navigate the certification process.
The training will also cover an overview of the methodology behind EDGE, as well as marketing training on how to communicate the EDGE difference to prospects and stakeholders.
Candidates looking to gain EDGE Expert accreditation will receive all the materials they need at the training, and will gain access to the code needed to register for the exam.
